Every summer, I suddenly find myself wanting to travel. For me, summer doesn’t necessarily mean planning a long vacation. As long as I have two or three days off, I’m already happy.
Whether I’m visiting a nearby city or planning a short weekend getaway, I love keeping my luggage light and heading off without too much fuss. But I’ve realized that the thing I struggle with most when packing isn’t actually my clothes. It’s my personal care products.
I used to have a “just in case I need it” mindset and ended up wanting to bring everything with me. Before I knew it, my toiletry bag was completely packed. Now, I always ask myself one simple question: “Will I actually use this while I’m traveling?”
For this trip, I finally narrowed my list down to four Yves Rocher products. They are the products I personally feel are especially suitable for a short summer getaway.
01|Yves Rocher Smoothing Shampoo
The first product on my list is the Yves Rocher Smoothing Shampoo. When I’m traveling in summer, I’m particularly conscious of how my hair looks and feels.
Living in Hong Kong means I’m already used to hot and humid weather, and when I spend a lot of time outdoors while traveling, my hair can easily become frizzy and much harder to manage. That’s why I always want to bring a shampoo that makes my hair feel easier to take care of while I’m away.
What I like about the Yves Rocher Smoothing Shampoo is how lightweight it feels to me. During a trip, I might spend the entire day walking around, exploring new places and taking photos, so I really don’t want my hair to become something that requires extra time and effort.
For me, coming back to the hotel at night, washing my hair and finding that it’s easier to manage after drying it feels like such a small but satisfying thing. That’s why even for a two- or three-day trip, I’m happy to make room for Yves Rocher Smoothing Shampoo in my luggage.

02|Yves Rocher Olive & Petitgrain Relaxing Body Lotion
The second product I packed is the Yves Rocher Olive & Petitgrain Relaxing Body Lotion. This was actually one of the products I hesitated about before packing, but in the end, I decided to bring it with me.
I used to focus almost entirely on facial skincare when traveling and completely forget about body care. But recently, I’ve started enjoying the simple habit of applying body lotion after my evening shower. When I’ve spent the whole day walking around and exploring, this little step makes me feel like I’m finally switching into relaxation mode.
I personally love this kind of calming routine. After taking a shower, putting on my pajamas and slowly applying body lotion feels almost like pressing a pause button at the end of the day.
The Yves Rocher Olive & Petitgrain Relaxing Body Lotion is also something I would consider bringing on a longer trip. For a short weekend getaway, though, I usually decide based on how much space I have left in my luggage.
03|Yves Rocher Moroccan Argan & Rose Shower Gel
The third product on my list is the Yves Rocher Moroccan Argan & Rose Shower Gel.I think shower products are one of the most underrated things to bring when traveling.
For me, the most tiring part of a trip isn’t necessarily the flight. It’s coming back to the hotel after walking around all day. I might have visited several places, walked for hours and taken countless photos, and by the evening, all I want is a nice shower and some time to lie down.
That’s why I’m always willing to make room for a shower product that I genuinely enjoy using. The Yves Rocher Moroccan Argan & Rose Shower Gel fits perfectly into those moments for me. It makes taking a shower feel like more than just another part of my daily routine. Instead, it becomes a relaxing moment for myself at the end of a busy day.
I especially love the feeling of taking a shower at night, putting on clean and comfortable pajamas, and then slowly getting everything ready for the next day. For me, that’s when a busy travel day finally starts to feel relaxed.

04|Yves Rocher Shine Rinsing Vinegar
The last product is probably the most unusual one on my list — the Yves Rocher Shine Rinsing Vinegar. When I first came across the idea of a hair rinsing vinegar, I was honestly quite curious because it felt very different from the shampoo and conditioner products I normally use.
But when I’m traveling, I’ve actually started to appreciate simple hair care products like this. Especially in summer, after spending an entire day outdoors, I feel like my hair deserves a little extra attention, but I also don’t want to bring too many bottles with me.
What I like about the Yves Rocher Shine Rinsing Vinegar is that it allows me to keep my travel hair-care routine simple. I don’t want to spend a lot of time taking care of my hair every day, but adding one extra step from time to time makes me feel like I’m still giving my hair some attention.
I also like the fact that the 150 ml size is relatively easy for me to fit into my travel bag. For a short trip, I always appreciate products that don’t take up too much space.
My Yves Rocher Summer Travel Checklist
After finishing my packing this time, I’ve realized that I really prefer traveling with fewer products, as long as every item is something I genuinely enjoy using. The Yves Rocher Smoothing Shampoo takes care of my everyday hair routine, while the Yves Rocher Olive & Petitgrain Relaxing Body Lotion is what I reach for after my evening shower when I want to slow down and relax.
The Yves Rocher Moroccan Argan & Rose Shower Gel makes my hotel shower feel a little more enjoyable, while the Yves Rocher Shine Rinsing Vinegar is the extra step I turn to whenever I want to give my hair a little more care. For me, traveling doesn’t mean bringing everything I own.I would much rather leave some space in my suitcase for things that genuinely make me happy.
During the day, I can explore new places without worrying about carrying too much, and at night, I can return to my hotel and take care of my hair and body at my own pace. That’s one of the reasons I’ve grown to enjoy Yves Rocher more and more.To me, Yves Rocher isn’t simply a beauty brand that I put into my suitcase. It’s become part of the little routines that allow me to maintain a sense of familiarity even when I’m traveling somewhere new.
Even if I’m only going away for two or three days, I still want to enjoy every moment of the trip.So if someone asks me what they really need to pack for a short summer getaway, my answer will never be “the more, the better.”I’ll bring a few Yves Rocher products that I genuinely love, keep my suitcase light, and simply enjoy the journey.
